A FUN, friendly and free way for young people to occupy the summer holidays is being offered in Hereford, with the serious opportunity for voicing opinions.
A five-day radio programme will be the end result of the experience open to the over-15s invited to take part in the media skills training.
The project is being run by the Rural Media Company encouraging discussion in the issues that affect young lives. It is part of local Democracy Week and follows on from last year's successful broadcast.
They will be taught photography, leadership, teamwork, design and radio.
The group will then produce a radio programme, with help from a youth worker and journalist.
If the scheme is successful in generating interest and debate among other young people in the county it will be carried out again on a larger scale.
Details are available from Sarah at the Rural Media Company on 01432 344039.
