BROMYARD police are appealing for sponsors to come forward and pledge financial support in the fight against crime.
Beat manager Richard Shakespeare says he would like to buy some property marking kits and make them available for loan to the local community.
Each pack contains an electric engraver, UV pen and etching device.
People can then protect their goods and, if they are stolen, make the recovery process easier.
The police are very keen on the idea but the cost of £45 for each kit is proving to be prohibitive.
Anybody who thinks they can help by purchasing or sponsoring a pack is being requested to telephone PC Shakespeare on 07974 387073.
