Leominster'S oldest charity shop is to close its doors for the last time tomorrow after more than 15 years.
Voluntary Action North Herefordshire's Community Chest shop was established to provide low cost clothing at affordable prices with funds distributed back into the community via projects including community wheels, wheels to work, the volunteer bureau and Leominster's community focus worker.
But Leominster's changing needs mean that the shop is no longer fulfilling the purpose for which it was established.
"It is a sad day, but nevertheless changing times have decreed that the shop is no longer viable," said Fiona Ritchie, chairman of the board of trustees at Voluntary Action.
All remaining goods will be passed on to either St Michael's Hospice Shop or Treasure Island.
