TICKETS have now gone on sale for the European Young Rider Champion-ships 2000 that are being held at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire from August 23-27.

Over 200 Young Riders, aged between 18-21, have entered the Championships and will represent the following nations: Austria, Belgium Czech Republic, Denmark Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

This is the first time that one nation has hosted all three disciplines of th Championships at one venue to include: show jumping, dressage and three-day event.

The event begins on Wednesday, August 23 and the official opening ceremony is at 5pm. The event will include displays from: The Paralympic Dressage riders; parade of foxhounds; a skydiving spectacular; long-reining by Jennie Loriston-Clark and the official welcome of the teams to Great Britain.

Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal is Patron of the event and will attend the closing ceremony.

This will be The Princess Royal's first visit to the College this century, although she was a frequent visitor to the College during the last decade.

Ticket prices are as follows: Thursday, Friday and Sunday is £5 for adults and £4 for Pony Club, British Horse Society members, British Dressage members, British Show-Jumping Association members; British Horse Trials Associations members and for children under 14.
