Eastnor 3rds lost their fourth successive league match this time against Newent 3rds in this Hereford Times H&DCL Division Three game.
EASTNOR 3RD XI v NEWENT 3RD XI
Eastnor skipper Taylor lost the toss and was asked to bat. Eastnor were always struggling to score runs despite yet another brave innings from Matt Panter. Wilkinson and Richards soon reduced the villagers to 16-3 before Taylor (18) and Panter pushed the total on.
Taylor's departure saw the youngsters come to the wickets with Gavin Locke (7), Adam McTear and Pat Locke giving Panter excellent support to take the total through to a modest 66, Panter last to fall for 15 runs.
Taylor bowled Brown at ten in the sixth over before R Taylor (17) and N Wadley (34no) steadily added 36 runs to put Newent on top of the match.
Neil Davies then claimed Taylor, and John Taylor bowled Dowdswell at 55, but the end was nigh as Wadley continued to bat on well, finishing the match in the 28th over.
