A BRAY Avenue resident is up in arms about people attending Ledbury Poetry Festival events parking in her street and along Mabel's Furlong.
Michelle Quinton said: "It was bumper to bumper, end to end.
"Someone was actually directing people to park in Mabel's Furlong and Bray Avenue, while buses then picked them up for the festival. Cars, buses, people, a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning! I was so annoyed."
One of the festival directors, Peter Arscott, admitted to directing cars into Mabel's Furlong for a mid-week walk on Wednesday, July 5. And festival organiser Richard Surman said a coach collected people again for a festival walk on Saturday morning (July 8), but not the Sunday.
Mr Surman said: "The pick-up was the car park of John Masefield High School. I have no knowledge of people being directed to Mabel's Furlong on Sunday, though some people may have parked there.
"Nevertheless, we're terribly sorry and apologise for any inconvenience if someone was upset."
