FANS of Nigel Heins' gripping but grisly Flashback series in The Hereford Times should love a new course in criminal history starting in Hereford next Wednesday.
Dr Tim Shakesheff will lead 'A History of Crime and Punishment 1750-1900' at Hereford County Hospital for 12 weeks.
"Explore why the infamous highwayman William Page was acquitted by a Hereford jury in 1758 and how a gang of Kingstone poachers managed to escape the gallows," he said.
"We will also be talking about the crime panics of the mid 18th and 19th centuries, Victorian murderesses and that most famous of criminals, Jack the Ripper."
For more information phone Dr Shakesheff on 01905 855301.
