Ledbury made a little piece of history in their first ever match in the NPI Intermediate Cup with a victory at the First Round Midlands stage.
The home side broke through a resolute Ludlow defence after 20 minutes with an unconverted try for winger Jerry Jehan, but the visitors held firm and kept the score to 5-0 at half-time.
However, after the interval Richard Hall fired over three penalties in quick succession and when Jehan touched down for the second time Ledbury went comfortably clear.
Ludlow back row Jason Parkes completed a break away for an unconverted try but the hosts hit back following an interception on their own line, which resulted in a score for Hall.
Ledbury were reduced to 14 when Mark Gould left the field due to injury and Ludlow prop Phil Dorke went over in the dying seconds, converted by Mark Williams, but it was not enough for the visitors.
