A MIDDLE-AGED man held up a Ross-on-Wye bookmaker with a knife before fleeing with £1000 this week.
The robber entered Ladbrokes in Gloucester Road at around 5.30pm on Monday and demanded money.
Once he was handed the cash he calmly walked out of the shop and disappeared.
He is described as being in his late 30s to early 40s, six feet tall, of slim build and wearing a blue sweat shirt, blue jeans and blue or green baseball cap.
Hereford police believe that many members of the public will have been in the area at the time of the incident and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
