TENBURY Readers' Group will be holding another 'Bestcellars' evening on Thursday, September 21 as part of the 10th birthday celebrations of Tenbury Library.

The evening will be similar to the event held during the 1999 Tenbury Festival, and combines books and wine (always a happy marriage).

Participants are given an empty wineglass as they enter the library at 7.30pm, and divided into small groups.

Because the shelves in Tenbury are movable, the shelves can act as furniture, so that five 'rooms' can be formed, each with comfortable chairs, a lamp and a small table.

In each of the 'rooms' a member of Tenbury Reading Group sits, with a book from a wine producing country, plus a few bottles of wine chosen to accompany the book.

Participants, in their little groups, rotate around the five rooms, sampling the wine, and learning a little about the books as wells. The wine and books this year are from Chile, France, New Zealand/Australia, Portugal and Spain.

Readers and wine lovers will have to come along to discover further details.
