DAVID Park missed out by a shot to qualify for the final two rounds of the European PGA Canon European Masters after posting a four-over-par total of 146 (75,71) at the spectacular Crans-sur-Sierre course, perched some 4,000 feet up in the Swiss Alps.

The Burghill Valley professional had produced a superb four-under-par front nine in his second round to get himself back to level par, after posting a four over par 75 in the opening round.

However an errant tee shot on the par three 16th hole ricocheted off an overhanging branch never to been seen again. The resulting double bogey saw him finish a shot over the cut-off point.

This week Park continues his busy European Tour schedule in the Lancome Trophy, at St Nom de la Breteche, Paris.
