A PILOT had a lucky escape when his light aircraft crashed on take off at Shobdon airfield.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Saturday afternoon to find the plane extensively damaged. The pilot, who is not being named, was treated by paramedics for minor injuries. The air accident investigation board will be carrying out a joint inquiry with police.
