THIS year's annual John Masefield Lecture will feature living memories of "Uncle John", recalled by members of the Masefield family.
William Masefield, the poet's nephew, and Mrs Prue Barker, the poet's niece, will talk about their famous relative.
The venue will be the Burgage Hall in Church Lane, from 7.30pm, on Wednesday, September 20.
Mrs Barker is an accomplished photographer and will make use of an audio-visual slide presentation.
The event is being been organised by the John Masefield Society, whose chairman Peter Carter said: "This will be a special occasion."
Other attractions will include music by Elgar, Bizet and Sibelius, and poetry readings.
In addition, the society's exhibition of photographs of old Ledbury, together with quotations from the former poet laureate's works, will be on show in the Burgage Hall.
Admission for non members is £3.
