Mrs Muffin's Teashop in Ledbury has scooped top honours as Tea-room of the Year in the Flavours of Herefordshire awards scheme.
Owner Angela Reader attended the special luncheon presentation at Eastnor Castle on Wednesday, unaware that, having been a runner-up in 1999, victory in the Millennium year was already hers.
Now the certificate and plaque have pride of place in the cosy Church Lane watering hole.
Mrs Reader said: "I received the award for sourcing and using local products in creative cooking.
"My staff are just brilliant, and it is a nice feeling to win."
Mrs Muffin's has been open for five year and attracts a mix of locals and visitors.
Highly commended in the section was the Black and White Villages' Visitor Centre in Pembridge.
There was also success for Jus, of Glebe Farm, Aylton, which won the Food Producers Award, and for The Barn, The Coach House and The Shed, at Whitbourne, which won the self catering award.
