A HEREFORD soldier has paddled his way to two medals at the Inter-Service Canoe Championships in Nottingham.
Brendan Reese, 23, a former Weobley High School pupil serving as a corporal with the Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers, took gold in the men's K1 200m sprint and silver in the K2 race.
Brendan is a former under-14 British canoe champion and has won numerous awards over the years.
"It's a sport I've always done and I've also taken part in white water events for the army," he said.
