BACK-row forward Tom Campbell, aged 17, is following in family footsteps by taking the captaincy of Hereford Cathedral School's 1st XV rugby side this season.
His elder brother Hugh, 19, a prop, led the side in 1998-99 and they are only the second pair of brothers in living memory to skipper the side.
The only known precedent in 125 years of rugby union at the school occurred in the 1970s when Paul Thorburn, later captain of Wales, and his brother, Andrew, were both captains of the side.
The Campbells, who live in Trellech near Monmouth, are scheduled to meet head to head on Saturday, December 9 in an annual match between the school and Old Herefordians.
