ARTS Alive, the rural touring scheme for Herefordshire and Shropshire is launching its exciting season of live events.
Arts Alive works in partnership with local people to make professional events available to all communities.
Sian Allen for Arts Alive said: "Going to the theatre needn't involve a long drive on a dark night. Arts Alive events happen in local village halls, and offer excellent quality performances. We even find that people drive out from towns to these village performances, because they enjoy the relaxed, intimate atmosphere."
This season includes dance from Blue Eyed Soul, theatre from Hijinx and The Custard Factory and children's shows from Tutti Frutti, Bill Brookman and Mufaro. Ben Osborne will be showing 'Common Source' his wonderful visual and poetic journey along the rivers Wye and Severn. A treat for fans of live music is a one-off visit of popular Eastern European band Szapora. There is also a welcome return of the Old Rope String Band, whose unique brand of musical tomfoolery always proves immensely popular.
