ONE Hereford Times reader was prompted into prose by the extraordinary events of last week.
Tricia Sankey composed a long poem to articulate her own take on the crisis. This extract gives a flavour:
Then Gordon Brown and farmer power combined to bring the nation to its knees
As prophesied some weeks ago by John, Bishop of Hereford Diocese
When so much was done by so many to so few
And full circle justice was completed with this coup
So Daddy will you drive less, and mummy will you pay
For farmers to get extra for their food after today?
