A GENEROUS donation by a Premiership footballer has sparked a huge auction of sporting memorabilia.
Pembridge school decided to contact their namesake - Everton's Mark Pembridge - to see if he would offer a shirt to raise money for school funds.
The ginger-haired journeyman kindly agreed and since then the idea has snowballed to encompass a whole range of superstar clobber.
The organisers have, amongst other items, Richard Johnson's signed photo, a Prince Naseem T-shirt, an autographed Manchester United top and a pair of Serena Williams' tennis shoes.
Taking place on September 30 from 6.30pm, the auction will provide money directly for the school. For more details phone 01544 340381 or 01544 388881.
