IAN Johnson struck a hat-trick as Leominster men's 2nd cruised to a convincing 6-1 win in a friendly against Tenbury.
Adrian Preece notched the first on 10 minutes, before Mark Stevenson doubled the lead and Johnson added the third.
Tenbury pulled a goal back but this only inspired Leominster, who wrapped up victory through two more Johnson strikes and a well-taken goal from promising youngster Sam Johnson.
Leominster 3rd gained a 9-5 victory in a high-scoring friendly with Worcester 6th, after their opponents had taken a 1-0 lead. Leominster's goals came from Alan Ellis (2), Josh Watkins (2), Vyvian Prior (2), Mark Howden, David Mumford and Bill Summers.
n Hereford Ladies started with a 5-1 win in a friendly at Gloucester side Bad-gers.
Badgers took the lead with a breakaway goal after 10 minutes but from then on Hereford took charge and Clare Milton equalised five minutes before half-time.
Hereford accelerated away in the second half, with a superb solo strike from Emily Panniers, a goal from Philippa Cardy and a brace for debutante Lisa Handy.
