AN under-strength Peg-asus fell to a disappointing defeat to the leaders in the Premier Division of the Cherry Red Records Hellenic League.
Phil Beavan had a lobbed shot cleared off the line for the home side before Swindon took the lead against the run of play when Richard Hadgkiss seized on a weak clearance and stroked the ball home.
The visitors doubled their advantage on the stroke of half-time when Matt Sayce got in behind the Pegasus defence and beat advancing keeper Andrew James from the edge of the box.
The city side were awarded a penalty straight after the break but visiting keeper Chris Webb, who conceded the spot kick when he brought down Mark Davis, redeemed himself with a good save from Leigh Harris.
Swindon sealed their win on the hour when Hadgkiss bent a 20-yard free-kick past James and inside the far post.
l Ross Town went down 3-2 away to Letcombe in Division 1 West. Their scorers were Graham Jones and Steve Aubrey.
