HEAVY rain brought misery to motorists earlier this week as flash flooding closed a number of county roads.
According to the automated weather station at Shobdon, 28 millimetres of rain fell in 24 hours from 9pm on Sunday. Excessive surface water caused problems on many key routes and minor roads in the county.
