ROTARY CLUB - Members of Knighton and District Rotary Club quiz team travelled to Merthyr Tydfil in the district quiz and beat the home team, who had won the competition the previous three years, by 50 points to 34. The next round will be on Tuesday, February 27 against Crickhowell at the Baron of Beef, Bucknell.
WEDNESDAY CLUB - Mrs I Leeson, Mrs M Chapman, Mrs M Cox and Mrs W Davies were helpers at a recent meeting of Knighton and District Wednesday Club in the Social Room at St Edward's Close. Winners in the raffle were Mrs I Leeson, Mrs M Chapman, Mr D Lewis, Mrs M Payne, Mrs G Moss, Mrs M Upton, Mrs B Davies and Miss D Burgins.
WHIST DRIVE - The lady members of Knighton Bowling Club held their fortnightly whist drive when the winners were Mrs O Jones, Mrs M Grime, Mrs D Williams, Mr K Ellis, Mrs M Shepherd and Meryl Roberts, with Mrs R Perry and Mrs M Evans taking the consolation prizes. The next whist drive is tonight at 7.30pm in the clubhouse.
JUMBLE SALE - A jumble sale for St Edward's Church raised over £220.
COMMUNITY CENTRE - Knighton Community Centre will hold its annual meeting on Monday, May 21 at 7.30pm. Everyone from Knighton and district interested in the running of the centre is welcome.
