ECONOLINE will be playing the Hereford Jailhouse on August 1, with support from San Quentin and a possible appearance from Exeter-based post-hardcore crew Kids Near Water.
It will be a homecoming of sorts for Econoline frontman Ian Scanlon, born in Hereford, and now returning after successful gigs in London and elsewhere across the UK and Ireland.
The band's recent single, 'Breakfast Of Champions,' was played on Radio 1 and also on London's Xfm, in addition to regional stations in Scotland and Wales.
Praise
The single also received high praise from music weeklies the NME and Kerrang, and also a number of fanzines and on-line reviews. Comparable to bands such as The Cure, Dinosaur Jr and Sunfactor, Econoline are a band that are not to be missed, especially at such an intimate venue as The Jailhouse.
