THE Music Pool, Herefordshire's community music charity, is working with 2-Faced Dance Co., Herefordshire Youth Service and Nightjar Music to bring local young musicians, dancers and artists into Hereford's High Town and Maylord Shopping Centre's Trinity Square on Saturday, July 14 between 11am and 2.30pm.
A 40-piece brass, wind and percussion carnival-style procession of pupils from Bishop's, St Mary's and Haywood schools, led by The Brasshoppers, will wind its way through town from 11am, playing New Orleans and Caribbean favourites.
From 12noon in Trinity Square there will be an astonishing, mind-boggling display of break-dancing, rap and DJ scratching by Fei Lung, 2-Faced Dance, Hereford's own Juice Crew and Dubmerge. You might even get a chance to try a bit of rapping and scratching if you're so inclined!
Herefordshire Youth Service will have extensive displays, information, contacts and questionnaires available, together with a chance to make friendship bracelets and do henna tattooing.
The Music Pool is supported by Herefordshire Council, the National Foundation for Youth Music and the Regional Arts Lottery Programme.
