PEGASUS fought back from 2-1 down to pip lowly Leominster 3-2 in the Premier Division of the Hereford Times Herefordshire League.

James Howard scored a memorable winning goal in the 63rd minute after a flowing move involving Anthony McQuaid, Darren Jones and David Goode had swept the length of the pitch.

Leominster opened the scoring against the run of play in the 22nd minute through Terry Williams only for Pete Williamson to hit the equaliser, latching on to Darren Thompson's deep cross, just before half time.

Daniel Stack restored Leominster's lead shortly after the restart but Jamie Edmonds netted Pegasus' second leveller from a corner.

And then Howard pounced to cap Pegasus' fine comeback and earn the hosts a hard-fought win.

Woofferton cruised to a 2-0 win at Hinton as second half goals by striker Kevin Phasey and Steve Minton earned the villagers another deserved victory.

Woofferton created a number of chances in the opening half, with Neil Cocum having a thunderous drive tipped on to a post.

The visitors continued to press after the interval, with the breeze at their backs, and Phasey cut inside to open the scoring with a powerful shot into the top corner.

Although Hinton came back into the match and showed more purpose, it was Woofferton who struck the decisive blow.

Minton finished off a five-man move with a fierce left-foot drive from outside the box to seal the points in the 70th minute.

Goals from Kevin Michael, Stan Jones and Tommy Taylor gave Ewyas Harold a 3-2 lead at Weston before the home side hit back for a 5-3 win.
