IN-FORM Woofferton booked a place in the second round of the HFA Charity Bowl with a hard-fought 2-0 victory at Hereford Civil Service.

Woofferton withstood prolonged pressure in the first half and the opening stages of the second period, although goalkeeper Dave Cooper was seldom troubled.

Jones grabbed the clincher in the 22nd minute after he beat a defender and rounded the goalkeeper.

Pegasus, however, were unlucky when Anthony McQuaid's goal-bound shot was saved on the line and Jamie Edmonds also had an effort well saved. But Jones missed two clear-cut chances to wrap up the game for Harold.
