HEREFORD under-14 progressed to a semi-final of the North Midlands Knockout Cup with an excellent 29-12 away win at Dudley Kingswinford with tries from Christ-opher Skinner (2), Drew Barrett and Mark Lee.

The under-16s reached the quarter-finals of the Plate competition with a crushing 43-0 win at Droitwich. There were tries from Chris Leech (3), Patrick Hill (2), Adam Blizzard and Ollie Kamester, who also kicked four conversions.

The under-13 team gained a 46-12 win over visiting Luctonians in a friendly match. Tries were scored by Douglas Glasgow (2), Andrew Parsons (2), Huw Dunbar, Owen Lawrence, Steve Rowberry and Dan Berry, and Luke Dale landed three conversions.

The under-19s avenged a recent defeat at Lydney with a 20-16 victory. Tries were scored by Matt Jones and Nick Nugent, while Colin Osborne kicked two conversions and two penalties.

n LUCTONIANS under-16 bowed out of the North Midlands Knockout Cup with a 40-8 second round home defeat to Saltleians.

Their score came from a Tony Nicholls try and an Andrew Kettle penalty.

The under-15 also lost interest in the North Midlands Cup when they went down 20-0 to visiting Bredon.

A 14-0 home win over Newport took the under-14 into the second round of the Plate. Matthew Rose and Perry Pudge scored tries and Duncan Gibbons landed two conversions.

Luctonians Colts lost 28-5 in a friendly at Willenhall. Stephen Dale scored their try.

Luctonians 3rd beat visiting Clee Hill 2nd 36-24 with tries from Chris Pugh (2), Stuart Cooke, Fred Hawkins, Dave Wetherill and Colin Smith. Matt Hughes added three conversions.
