Kington Town 1 Tividale 3

KINGTON finished with only nine players in going down to fellow West Midlands League Premier Division high-flyers Tividale after both Daffyd Roberts and Carl Morgan were red-carded following two bookable offences.

It all started so well for Kington who forced the visitors to defend for the first 20 minutes and created four good scoring opportunities.

Ben Chamberlain, twice, Dave Goulding and Kevin Gwilliam all missed chances through a combination of poor finishing and good goalkeeping.

Tividale scored with their first serious attack when a deep cross was headed down at the far post.

They extended their lead immediately after the break when a striker intercepted a weak back-header and slid the ball home.

The loss of Roberts spurred Kington on and Scott Jackson headed home a Morgan cross at the far post to reduce the deficit.

A quickly taken free-kick caught Kington napping and, although goalkeeper Carl Rose made a double save, Tividale forced the ball home for goal number three.

Any Kington hopes of coming back were dashed when Morgan received his marching orders.
