Wellington 0 Westfields 1
LEADING scorer Chris Jefferson claimed a decisive second-half goal to give Westfields victory in West Midlands League Premier Division clash against local rivals.
Wellington had much the better of the first period and visiting goalkeeper Jon Pugh produced two outstanding saves to thwart Damien Gallimore and Brad Pearson.
Westfields gradually played themselves back into the game after the break and gradually started to dominate play. Derek Craddock went close to breaking the deadlock before Jefferson popped up to claim the winner in the 72nd minute.
They should have extended their lead when Paul Burton raced clear but, after rounding the keeper, he fired over the bar.
