Ross-ON-WYE Baptist Church will receive a special visitor for the 132nd anniversary service on Sunday of the founding of the Broad Street Church.
He is the Rev. David Coffey, General Secretary of the Baptist Union, who is shortly to become joint President of Churches Together in England where he will serve alongside the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Catholic Archbishop of Westminster in that capacity.
Senior Minister at Ross, Rev. Charles Crosland, described Mr Coffey as a powerful preacher who had visited Ross in 1994 for the 125th anniversary.
