Hereford United will be boosted by the return from suspension of club captain Ian Wright and midfielders John Snape and Scott Goodwin for Saturday's Nationwide Conference visit to Barnet.

Wright and Snape received one match bans and Goodwin is back after serving two consecutive one-match suspensions.

The trip to Underhill will be United's first opportunity of a league double after beating Barnet 2-1 at Edgar Street in the opening match of the season with goals from Snape and Gavin Williams.

The Bulls will be aiming to end a disappointing run of three away defeats, all without scoring a goal.

Player coach Phil Robinson said: "Most of our strikers have shown that they are capable of scoring goals. But over the last two seasons they have suffered from a lack of confidence with nobody able to find the net regularly.

"We are playing good football and creating plenty of chances, and I hope that one of our strikers will start a prolific run."

Looking ahead to Saturday he said: "Barnet are a good footballing team with a couple of highly regarded young players who are being watched by the Premier League clubs.

"It would be great to get a result there as it would put us in good heart for our cup visit to Swindon."

Barnet, who were relegated to the Conference when they lost to Torquay at Underhill on the final day of last season, currently lie fourth in the table and have won five and drawn three of their 10 home matches.

On Tuesday night they gave a good account of themselves in an FA Cup first-round replay at Carlisle before going down 1-0 to their Third Division hosts.

Hereford's new signing Alex Kevan, the former Burnley player who made a promising debut in the defeat at Northwich Victoria, will be in the squad for Saturday.

He may well be joined by veteran Ian Rodgerson, fit again after a thigh strain, but striker Daniel Davidson is definitely out with a hamstring injury.

Barnet will include Stuart Niven, an on-loan signing from Premiership Ipswich, in their starting line-up, but skipper and centre-half Greg Heald is suspended.
