MADAM, Your recent article reporting the so-called good news regarding money allocations for bridge improvements and up grading to take larger lorries over Bridge Sollars somewhat confuses me.
Unless I am mistaken, the money is only to improve the bridge and not the road from Madley to the actual site. Those who use this road on a regular basis, as I do as a cyclist will know heavy lorries as well as cars cause terrible congestion at certain times and at various points because the road is barely wide enough for me to pass cars.
Therefore unless those backslappers have the insight to spend the appropriate extra money to widen most of the road from Lulham to Madley, possibly two miles, then they would be better advised to put our money on a horse at Hereford called Dreamer.
What is the point of moving a problem further down or up as in this case the road? Why not buy another box of traffic lights to further congest the city? Think ahead chaps.
