The Saturday Caf, a popular series of lunchtime music sessions at the Courtyard in Hereford, is set to start its 2002 programme next week after a short winter break.
The Music Pool, the county's community music charity, is promoting the informal sessions which feature some of the best musical talent in the area. The sessions get underway on Saturday, January 19 with the welcome return of Jon Watson. His winning combination of classic blues, boogie and barrelhouse piano and passionate vocals, ensure that his performances always go down a storm at the Courtyard - and anywhere else.
Saturday, January 26 sees the welcome return of regulars Blake and Klozenberg, a dynamic duo renowned for their quality, versatility and sense of fun. Martin and Lisa play guitars, clarinet and percussion and sing a whole host of material, including blues, jazz and folk.
All sessions run from 12 noon to 2pm each Saturday, in the Courtyard's cafe/bar area, and admission is free.
