PARENTS in Herefordshire will be asked to choose 'Green Nappies' for their babies this year.
Ross-on-Wye's EnviroAbility is using a £35,000 grant for a project to provide a distribution and collection service for real nappies.
Environmentalists have poo-pooed the more popular disposable nappies because they don't biodegrade and significantly increase landfill levels.
Welcome to Our Future (a Local Agenda 21 project) provided the £35,000 grant through the auspices of Severn Waste Environmental Fund.
