Hereford United player-coach Phil Robinson has warned his side to remain focussed ahead of Saturday's trip to Chesham United in the third round of the FA Umbro Trophy, writes IAN MORGAN.

The former Aston Villa and Wolves midfielder is expecting a tough test from the Buckinghamshire outfit who play one section below the Bulls in the Premier Division of the Ryman League.

Chesham, who beat Maidenhead 1-0 at home in the league on Tuesday, have organised a working party to ensure the pitch is playable for the tie.

A scout from a Premiership club will be at The Meadow to watch Chesham's leading scorer Wayne Andrews, who is also being closely monitored by Oldham Athletic.

A familiar face in the Chesham line-up could be striker Paul Fewings who notched 13 Conference goals for Hereford in the 1999-2000 season.

Fewings scored an FA Cup goal at Leicester City and also played in Hereford's humiliating 3-1 defeat in the FA Trophy third round at Billericay two years ago.

Chesham have lost just once at home this season and reached the third round after a 4-0 home victory against Weymouth.

The Bulls will be boosted by the return of Gavin Williams, Scott Voice, Mark Williams and, possibly, Ian Rodgerson who all missed last Saturday's trip to Forest Green.

Midfielder Rodgerson could make his 300th competitive appearance for the club, while Scott Goodwin is suspended and left-back Tony Capaldi has returned to Birmingham City after a three-month loan spell.

Robinson said: "Chesham believe they can compete successfully against the likes of Hereford and other clubs in the Conference and we know that they are hard working, with pace up front. We cannot afford any complacency."

In the event of a draw the replay will be at Edgar Street on Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm.

Meanwhile, Hereford's epic FA Cup win over Newcastle United in 1972 will be included in Channel 4 TV's The 100 Greatest Sporting Moments this Saturday. The broadcast starts at 9pm and is introduced by Vinnie Jones.
