WORK has started on a new safer crossing for pedestrians in Belmont Road, Hereford.
The £35,000 contract is being carried out on behalf of the Highways Agency and is expected to take four weeks to complete.
Traffic is being controlled by temporary lights and construction work is taking place between 9.30am and 4pm.
