SHOPPERS in Hereford's High Town would be forgiven for thinking that they are north of the border after a Highland piper was spotted rustling up a tune in the city.
Twenty-two-year-old Simon Addison from Bobblestock has followed in his grandfather's footsteps as a Highland piper for two years after training with the military and the College of Piping.
A childhood ambition from the age of three, Mr Addison now performs at weddings, funerals, and New Years Eve parties as well as playing for the British Legion and the Allied Special Forces.
Former Aylestone High School pupil, Mr Addison has always been keen on music and is also a grade six trumpet player.
He said: "There is a big Scottish Contingent in Hereford. I have even stopped traffic before on Remembrance Sunday in High Town!"
Anyone requiring a Highland piper for all occasions can contact Mr Addison on 01432 275381.
