AYLESTONE School claimed the honours in the inaugural Herefordshire Schools County Rugby Festival when they won two of the three age groups.
Eleven of the county secondary schools took part in the festival with the strong and experienced Cathedral School and Bishop's School not entering their A sides to encourage the other county schools to compete.
In the under-12 tournament, played at Aylestone, the host school defeated John Kyrle in the final, and Bishop's B team claimed third place.
The final of the under-13 section at Ledbury was between Aylestone and Kingstone, with the city school just winning a closely fought encounter. Weobley took third place.
Minster triumphed in the under-14 final at Luctonians' Mortimer Park when they beat Haywood, with Tenbury and Aylestone sharing third spot.
