POSTPONEMENT - Knucklas Community Centre Management Committee has expressed regrets that the recent beetle drive had to be cancelled because of a power cut which affected the whole of Knucklas. The event will be re-scheduled.
BEAVERS - Knucklas Beaver Colony re-started for the new year with a beaver drive. Justin Powell was invested, and there are now 16 Beavers. Commissioners and parents of both Scouts and Beavers on March 5 was well attended, and the outcome was positive. The colony has 13 helpers who share duties on a rota. Beavers now meet on a Thursday night from 6 pm to 7.15pm with Scouts following on the same night from 7.30pm to 9 pm.
SCOUTS - Knucklas Scout Troop has three new helpers. Scout Leader Anne Leighfield took the Scouts on a four day winter camp to Woodhouse Park, near Bristol, site with a spectacular view of Severn Estuary and its two bridges. The Scouts will have an Easter bingo on March 14 at Knucklas Community Centre to raise funds for their summer camp and also for Knucklas Playgroup. The Scouts will be camping at Bleddfa in April.
