VILLAGE HALL -- Another very interesting talk by Brian Draper MBE, has been arranged by the village hall committee on Thursday March 21 at 7.30pm. It will be entitled 'What is a River'? and will be illustrated by Brian's excellent slides. Make a note to join us on that evening especially if you haven't listened to his engrossing river stories before. Tickets £2.50 (including light refreshments) are available from Gorsley Post Office and Stores.

GARDEN CLUB -- The next member's meeting takes place in the village hall at 7.30pm on Monday March 18. Valerie Brooks will be talking to us on 'choosing and growing alpines'.

THE QUIET GARDEN TRUST -- Douglas and Hilary Swallow will again be opening their home and garden for a time of hospitality and prayer on Saturday March 16. This gives an opportunity for silence and reflection upon the beauty of God's creation; for learning about the Christian life and spirituality and for experiencing the healing power of God's love. Their home is Stone Cottage, Gorsley, and the day will start at 9.30am and finish at 3.30pm. Booking is essential as only four people can be taken at a time. For further information please telephone Douglas or Hilary on 01989 720760.

WOMEN'S INSTITUTE -- The next meeting of the Kilcot and Gorsley WI will be on Tuesday, March 19, at 7.30pm in Gorsley village hall, when Mrs J Bollington will be taking a look at some surprises in Cotswold Churches.
