MADAM, The local council have stated Leominster's economy is fragile, they are spot-on.
News the Sydonia swimming pool is now closed adds to the decline of Leominster.
Carparking charges are fine when there is something worth visiting, but charity and antique shops do not bring shoppers in hundreds! Oh, there are also pubs but you mustn't drink and drive.
I regret saying it but Safeway with their large free carpark seems attractive.
How can a council consider carparking charges in a town where illegal parking is rife? Surely this needs to be addressed, otherwise the signal sent out appears to be 'park illegally it's cheaper'!
IAN McEWAN,
Westcroft,
Leominster.
