WHAT happens to the staff when a health authority closes down?
For those employed by Herefordshire Health Authority most have been deployed locally.
Fifty eight staff will transfer to Herefordshire Primary Care Trust which will become responsible for many of HHA's responsibilities.
Seven will go to Herefordshire Council.
Thirty four who supply IT services for the whole of the health community in Herefordshire will be employed by Hereford Hospitals Trust and will continue with the same work.
Two will be join a new organisation responsible for the registration and inspection of residential and nursing homes.
Three HHA staff, Tom Travers, director of finance, Gill Sinclair, assistant director of finance, and Robert Price, assistant director of performance management, will join the new strategic health authority with an HQ at Redditch.
