THIS little lamb, just three days old, was born with a positive and bold message.
But what is it?
Perhaps a tempting invitation to 'kiss me quick'.
Maybe a hint that it deserves the George Cross for surviving the strong March winds.
Possibly a religious connection, born with the sign of the Cross to welcome Easter.
Surely not an offer to start a game of noughts and crosses, it is far too young.
And there is surely no reason to say X marks the spot.
It can't be angling for a vote and even though it is not able to write there are no documents for it to sign with an X. And it has no connection with hot cross buns.
For farmer's daughter Jemma Goodwin it doesn't really matter. She thinks he is a handsome fellow and is happy to stop and give him a cuddle, whatever the message.
The little lamb is one of triplets born on a farm near Hereford.
The distinguished cross is very unusual, the other two lambs have much fainter markings.
Their mother is one of 780 ewes giving birth at the moment and this special little chap is the first ever on the farm to be born with such an emphatic cross on his face.
