BELL Inn 98 recorded their fourth successive victory in as many weeks to book their place in the Malvern Football League President's Cup final.

They continued their good run of form to complete an unbeaten record in March and overcame a spirited Callow End Harriers team in the semi-finals last Sunday at County Sports ground.

Callow End Harriers found themselves on the back foot for the opening minutes of the game as the Bell started to create chances, forcing keeper Adrian Whittal-Williams into a number of crucial saves. On 24 minutes the Bell took the lead from a free-kick conceded 20 yards from goal which was quickly taken by Peter Brown, who fired into the corner of the net.

Chances were at a premium for Harriers, who found the going tough attacking a soft-surfaced penalty area, although they had opportunities to pull level it was Bell Inn 98 who made the most of the first half.

The second half saw Fleming for Harriers bolster their back line and their defence played well in the remaining 45 minutes to keep many attacking moves at bay.

Adam Morse's corner kick almost equalised for the Harriers midway through the second half, but his effort hit the top of the cross bar and went clear.

On 72 minutes the Bell applied the decisive finish with Peter Boyle's cross into the penalty area, confusing the Harriers defence who failed to clear, allowing David Beech the simplest of taps in from close range to seal the tie.

Old Bush Willie Thornes made a mockery of their league position to book a place in the final in their first season in the league after claiming victory over Morgan Aero 8.

Sam Black's finish from a right wing cross separated the sides at the half-time interval for Old Bush Willie Thornes although Morgan Aero 8 would have been ruing their missed opportunities in the opening half as they enjoyed good periods of play.

In the second period a Gary Otun header increased Willie Thornes' advantage before Mark King inflicted further pressure on the Morgan Aero 8 goal to take a 3-0 lead. Jordan Miller pegged the score back to 3-1 before Mark King scored his second goal of the game to record an impressive 4-1 victory which will see them take on Bell Inn 98 in the Soccer Site sponsored President's Cup final to take place on April 28 at Langland Stadium.

In the League last Sunday Kempsey United moved level on points with second-placed Club AC 30 after their 3-1 win away at Fromes Hill.

A Martin Pinches effort for United set them on their way followed by a brace from Steven Frear. Matt Howard was on target for the home side who are searching for their next win since victory over Interthornes on January 20.

They will have a chance this Sunday when they host Brewery. Callow End Harriers entertain Club AC 30, Kempsey United travel to Talbot Head as Bull Allstars return to action against the travelling Morgan Aero 8.
