Kington Town 0 Bustleholme 1
KINGTON'S late-season slump continued with a lack-lustre performance against lowly Bustleholme, a defeat that effectively moved them out of contention for West Midlands League Premier Division honours.
Although Kington created several early chances they could not finish. Hard working young striker Ben Chambers got himself into a good position but drove a cross from Carl Morgan over the bar from close range.
Roy Jordan made a good run from midfield to beat a few defenders but was denied by an excellent save from the Bustleholme goalkeeper. Frustration crept in and Kington gradually lost their shape and discipline.
Bustleholme grew in confidence and scored the decisive goal with their first strike on goal - a fierce volley which gave goalkeeper Carl Rose no chance.
The game deteriorated and ended on a sour note when Scott Jackson was sent off for stamping, closely followed by a Bustleholme player for punching.
