JULIAN Pritchard passed another milestone in his riding career when Rocket Radar provided the Ledbury-based jockey with the 250th win of his career during the Confined at Saturday's VWH meeting at Siddington.

The Castlemorton-trained gelding had been re-routed to Siddington by owner Janet Hughes after the abandonment of Wednesday's meeting at Chepstow, and this decision ended with a successful conclusion.

Bobs the Business's success in the Restricted set Pritchard on the path to his third century to be followed later in the afternoon by a third win on Mr Max.

The ex-champion said afterwards: "I never thought I was going to win until we struck the front between the final two fences."

Pritchard then made a successful journey down to Somerset for Sunday's Mendip Farmers meeting at Ston Easton. Paying his first visit to the course, Pritchard showed some of the skills which have made him one of the most successful riders in the country.

He was able to dictate the running on Bankit in the Restricted and saved valuable ground on every turn and this combination stayed on strongly when meeting the rising ground to win easily from the favourite Even More.
