THE Easter weekend is the busiest on the point-to-point calendar and this is especially true in this area which has three meetings scheduled for the holiday period.

Tomorrow's (Saturday) Ledbury meeting at Maisemore Park, near Gloucester, Bank Holiday Monday's North Cotswold fixture at Paxford and Tuesday's Croome & West Warwickshire Point to Point at Upton-upon-Severn are all being held.

With so many meetings, owners will be playing their cards very close to their chest.

The Croome & West Warwick-shire stage the only point to point in the country on Easter Tuesday.

With 323 entries, the five, six and seven-year-old and eight-year-old and upwards Maidens have already been divided, but with 58 entries for the Restricted, 52 in the Mares Maiden and 39 in the Novice Riders Mixed Open, it's a good job that the clocks have gone forward.

Galdos's performance at the recent Harkway Club fixture marked him out as a horse with a future and Rob Summer's Tamworth in Arden trained gelding should have little difficulty landing the Members at the expense of Brown Buzzard, the mount of James Hobbs from Kersoe.

Spring Cabbage is given a chance to redeem his reputation in the Restricted while the Stanton-based Daisy Fay has a chance in the Mares maiden if she can polish up her jumping.

Parahandy was soundly beaten on Saturday but he could regain winning ways in the Novice Riders where the form of Giles Smyly's runner exceeds that of their rivals.

With conditions expected to dry, Do It Once could return to winning ways in the Confined while Uncle Reginald and Ab Lib are sure to run well in their respective divisions of the Maidens.

Silver Dance has fallen when travelling well in both of his races but he has to get his jumping together at some time so he is given one more chance in Division One of the younger Maiden.
