STUDENT Liz Hancocks became a football reporter for the day after winning a competition organised by BBC Hereford & Worcester in conjunction with the Hereford Times.

The 17-year-old John Masefield High School pupil teamed up with broadcaster Peter McMillan after correctly answering two questions on Hereford United.

Liz, who has watched all of United's home games this season, was even correct in forecasting a 2-0 scoreline - although she didn't think that it would be United on the receiving end!

Despite the result, the A level student thoroughly enjoyed her day, in which she told listeners of her views on the match itself, attended a post-match interview with United skipper Ian Wright, and then wrote a match report for the web sites of the Hereford Times and BBC Hereford & Worcester.

Liz Hancocks' report on the game can be found on our Hereford United web site at www.thisishufc.co.uk.
