MADAM, Despite the business running at a profit it is obvious adequate money was not spent.
Did the council intend to spend it or, on the contrary, ran it down to save money. Its abrupt closure is an example of the cynicism and arrogance with which the council has treated those it represents. Instead of (literally) closing the door in our faces, how about some information, communication, discussion? What happened to accountability?
Perhaps an independent engineering survey, to determine the true costs of keeping it going until a new one is built, and an assessment of extra income from this year's rise in council tax and imminent parking charges in Leominster, could help mitigate the situation?
